PozzoSlag® Feedstock from Coal Fly Ash

rPozz uses coal fly ash as its primary feedstock

  • Fly ash is a non-hazardous waste by-product of coal consumption (primarily power plants)
  • Fly ash is commonly used as a supplement to Portland cement, but even high quality ash only has a replacement factor of 15 – 20%

PozzoSlag® builds on beneficial qualities of coal fly ash by increasing and sometimes doubling utilization of coal fly ash in the same volume of concrete to further reduce carbon footprint and increase landfill offset.

The use of PozzoSlag® on projects supports the efforts of conservation and is considered “green cement.” You can take comfort in knowing that rPozz’s process reduces carbon emissions by 90% compared to traditional Portland cement.  rPozz's production process does not rely on a kiln, eliminating inefficiencies and extreme energy requirements.

PozzoSlag® also extends a project's lifespan, thus reducing further consumption of construction materials for repairs and replacements in the future.
